This is especially true when it comes to the summation of the cost for a commercial kitchen. That is why more and more commercial kitchens are switching to gas catering equipment – it has become apparent to many restaurant owners that switching to gas operated equipment is much cheaper in the long run and a better investment overall.

When it comes to heating speed and power, gas appliances still over-perform their electric counterparts. They heat up much faster and can reach much higher temperatures since the flame lights up immediately after turning it on, which means there is no waiting time to heat up, as you would have with electric appliances. Conversely, the cooling speed for gas appliances is quicker as well, once you’ve turned the appliances off, the flame instantly extinguishes. Electric appliances, on the other hand, take a lot more time for the coil to cool down.

To sum it all up, when it comes to operating a large commercial kitchen, gas-powered appliances are a much better choice since they cost a lot less to operate and work much faster than electric ones. All of this can in turn save you money in the long run and help make your kitchen more efficient and productive. At the end of the day, your customers care about efficiency cause they only see the end product of your choices. Choosing better equipment also means making the whole process easier for the employees in the kitchen as well, and they have a lot to do with how the restaurant ends up being perceived.
